Where to rent in London?

In London and with any other city, it is key to make sure you are looking in the right area that you want to rent a property in. London has a huge number of boroughs and suburbs that have property to let in them. Before going to see a letting agent you need to do some research into the area first. If your reason that you want to rent in London is that you work in London, you need to think about how long you intend your journey to work and back to be. In London many people get about by bus and tube rather than by car so you need to map out which tube station or bus stop is closest to work, and which routes are the easiest to manage during the busy commuting times. This will then give you an indication as to what areas in London you can start to search in. You may of course just want to rent a flat near the river and do not mind how long it takes to get to and from work.

Alternatively you may have a family and therefore you will also need to work out the locality of schools and other amenities. In London there are many amenities that you can be close to when you rent a property but you may also want to find out where the local shops would be or the parks.

Since London is a very large city some areas are more affected by crime so this needs to be a factor that has to be considered. Obviously property to let in the more run down parts of London will be cheaper than the property in the more affluent areas of London.
